LEGAL RESEARCH WORK AT THE YP FOUNDATION (APPLY BY JANUARY 20, 2022)
Updated: Jan 13, 2022
About the Organisation:-
The YP Foundation (TYPF) is a youth development organization that facilitates young people’s feminist and rights-based leadership on issues of health equity, gender justice, sexuality rights, and social justice. TYPF ensures that young people have the information, capacity, and opportunities to inform and lead the development and implementation of programmes and policies that impact their lives and are recognized as skilled and aware leaders of social change.
About the Engagement
TYPF’s aims to implement a direct campus intervention to strengthen online feminist interventions in educational spaces; and to address instances of gender based violence and harassment on campus spaces both on ground and online, and enable young people’s positive engagement with feminist movements.
Over the last 5 years there have been various political and logistical shifts in educational institutions. Some of these include the emergence of strong feminist movements and groups as well as the intensification of backlash and anti-femnist discourse online and on ground, and the big shift to online education in the wake of the COVID-19 Pandemic. This has precipitated issues of access, marginalization and ability to participate in education equitably on various axes of identity and privilege. The online might not be the entire way of the future, however it is here to stay, part-time or another way. In such scenario, there emerges a need for ensuring that existing feminist interventions in educational institutions, built over decades of work, find a way to effectively transition to online spaces. In order to create robust sustainable intervention on masculinities and gender equity, TYPF plans to take up scoping research to assess the current issues, challenges and gaps in achieving an equitable online campus environment.
TYPF is looking for a lead researcher on a consultancy basis who will lead the research and report drafting process.
Remuneration: ₹ 2.25 lakhs

Note on the project
